Ingredients
  

For the pancakes
  • 2 cups pancake mix You can make your own with flour, baking powder, and sugar.
  • 1.5 cups water
For the burger patties
  • 1 pound ground beef Or your favorite plant-based substitute.
  • 4 slices cheese Choose your favorite cheese.
  • Salt and pepper To taste.
Toppings and condiments
  • Lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, etc. Customize as you like.
  • Ketchup and mustard Or any other condiments you prefer.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Form the ground beef into small, flat patties and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the patties for about 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Set aside.
Cooking
  1. In a bowl, whisk together the pancake mix and water until smooth.
  2. Heat a non-stick griddle over medium-low heat. Pour a ladle of batter onto the griddle for each pancake.
  3. As the pancakes start to bubble, place a cooked burger patty on top of each batter mound.
  4. Once the bottom is golden and the pancake is cooked through, carefully flip the whole stack to cook the other side.
  5. Top with cheese while still hot, then layer on your preferred toppings. Serve immediately.

Notes

For leftover storage, refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze individually for up to a month. Reheat in toaster or microwave until heated through.
