Preparation
- Form the ground beef into small, flat patties and season with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the patties for about 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Set aside.
Cooking
- In a bowl, whisk together the pancake mix and water until smooth.
- Heat a non-stick griddle over medium-low heat. Pour a ladle of batter onto the griddle for each pancake.
- As the pancakes start to bubble, place a cooked burger patty on top of each batter mound.
- Once the bottom is golden and the pancake is cooked through, carefully flip the whole stack to cook the other side.
- Top with cheese while still hot, then layer on your preferred toppings. Serve immediately.
Notes
For leftover storage, refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze individually for up to a month. Reheat in toaster or microwave until heated through.
