Ingredients
  

For the coleslaw
  • 1 small head green cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
For the dressing
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk Can substitute with regular milk and vinegar.
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage and carrots.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, buttermilk, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss well to coat it evenly.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld beautifully.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Avoid freezing as the texture may change.
