  • 30 oz frozen hash browns
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 16 oz sour cream

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the frozen hash browns, garlic powder, chopped onion, cream of chicken soup, black pepper, salt, melted butter, sharp cheddar cheese, and sour cream. Stir until everything is well mixed.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the oven for 45-60 minutes, or until the casserole is hot, bubbly, and golden on the top.
  2. Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Consider serving with scrambled eggs or a fresh garden salad. For leftovers, refrigerate for up to 3-4 days and reheat in the oven or microwave. Can freeze leftovers for up to a month.
